Karawang- West Java - Indonesia
Karawang as one of the cities on the north coast of West Java over the years has been known as the national rice granary, but the actual achievement as a city is not just rice alone. Two sites from the classical period and Cibuaya Batujaya, until now at least have 30 pieces believed to be the location of the future building of the temple Sunda kingdom Tarumanagara up. The amount berlum unmatched by other areas in West Java and certainly not excessive if Falkirk earned the nickname as Lumbung temple in West Java Indonesia.
Batujaya site, is administratively located in two regions of the village, the Village Segaran, District and Village Batujaya Telagajaya, District Pakisjaya in Karawang, West Java. This extensive site Batujaya estimated five km2. The site is located in the middle of the rice fields and some residents near the settlement and were not far from West Java's northern coastline (beach Karawang). Batujaya located approximately six kilometers from the coast north and about 500 meters north of Ci Tarum. The existence of this river has profound influence on the state of the site now due to land in this area is never dry throughout the year, both in the dry season or rainy season.
Based on the analysis of carbon-14 in radiometric artifacts Blandongan relics in the temple, one of the sites Batujaya enshrinement, it is known that the most ancient chronology comes from the 2nd century AD and the youngest are from the 12th century.
In addition to the above pertanggalan absolute, relative based on some form of paleography writing inscriptions found at the site and the way of analogy and typology of archaeological findings such as Chinese ceramics, pottery, votive tablets, plaster (Pleister), ornaments and statues stucco and brick buildings of much help.
